Date Night at Ruth’s Chris Steak House: My First Time Experience 🥩✨

Founded in New Orleans in 1965 by Ruth Fertel — a single mom who mortgaged her home to buy a small steakhouse — Ruth’s Chris Steak House has grown to serve guests in over 21 countries. But on this night, it was serving me… and let me tell you, Ruth understood the assignment.

The Starters: Sizzling Perfection

We began with the Sizzling Crab Cakes — two jumbo lumps of golden, flaky goodness, seared to perfection and swimming in sizzling lemon butter. This is the kind of appetizer you don’t actually want to share.

The Main Event: Filet Mignon + Friends

My entrée was the filet mignon special, cooked exactly the way I like it, topped with delicate crab and draped in a rich, velvety sauce that could have been a meal on its own.

On the side? A decadent buttery lobster tail and truffle mac & cheese so good we were lowkey negotiating for the last bite. (Spoiler: I won.)

The Vibe: Sophisticated but Warm

The plates came out sizzling, the service was flawless, and the atmosphere struck the perfect balance — upscale and elegant, but still cozy enough to relax and enjoy the night without feeling rushed.
